GoalSetting

A few weeks ago Billy Polson, one of the founders of Diakadi Body gave a talk to our instructors at Burn. It was amazing. Billy is naturally really friendly and positive, so it’s hard not to get excited about whatever he’s excited about. He was so genuinely enthusiastic about group fitness and what it has to offer, and I think we all left feeling like we have the best job in the world. Loved it. Thank you, Billy!

Goal Setting

One of the big takeaways for me at least was from a conversation I had with Billy about goal setting. When I was a personal trainer, I knew what my clients’ goals were, and I understood how strongly they served to motivate them through plateaus and fatigue. Knowing my clients’ goals, challenging them to meet them, and celebrating when they did is one of the best parts of one-on-one training.

Since that talk, I’ve been thinking constantly about how WE can incorporate that here at Burn. Maybe we can’t spend as much time sitting and mapping out your goals with you, but we can find another way. You have many different reasons for coming to Burn, and we’ve been brainstorming some very cool ideas on how to build on the motivation provided from working out in a group. Think about it- You are surrounded by a group of people and you’re all on a pretty cool journey together. We want to help remind you of your goals each and every time you set foot in Burn. We know you’re motivated, we know you work hard. But sometimes, it helps to have someone cheering you on who understands exactly why you’re here.

Stay tuned for some very exciting new ways in which we will be connecting with you to help you reach your goals.

See you in class,
Lisa
